Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of joy-ryde.com and any vehicle rental agreement entered into with Joyryde Limited LLC ("Joyryde," "we," "our," or "us"), a Colorado limited liability company. By booking a vehicle or using our website, you agree to these terms in full.

Eligibility

• You must be at least 21 years of age to rent a vehicle from Joyryde
• You must hold a valid driver's license issued in the United States
• You must provide accurate personal and payment information at the time of booking
• Joyryde reserves the right to deny any rental at its sole discretion

Vehicle Protection Fee

This fee is charged at the time of booking and is due in full before your rental period begins.

Rental Rates & Billing

• The base weekly rental rate is $249, plus applicable insurance add-ons and Colorado taxes
• The first 7 days of your rental are provided at no weekly charge (free trial period)
• Weekly billing begins on Day 8 and recurs every Wednesday via automatic charge to your payment method on file
• All rates are subject to change upon 7 days written notice from Joyryde
• Joyryde uses Stripe to process all payments. By booking, you authorize recurring weekly charges

Mileage Policy

• 1,200 miles per week are included in your rental rate (measured Monday through Sunday)
• You will receive an SMS alert when you reach 1,000 miles in a given week
• Miles driven in excess of 1,200 per week are billed at a $100 flat processing fee plus $0.50 per mile
• Mileage overages are added to your next Wednesday billing cycle
• Mileage is tracked via GPS. Tampering with or disabling GPS tracking is a material breach of this agreement

Insurance & Damage

• Renters must select an insurance tier at the time of booking: Basic ($2,000 deductible), Standard ($1,000 deductible), or Zero Deductible ($0 deductible)
• No insurance tier covers mechanical damage resulting from driver misuse, racing, off-roading, towing, or negligence
• Renter is solely responsible for any damage not covered by their selected insurance tier
• In the event of an accident, renter must notify Joyryde within 24 hours
• Renter agrees to pay the applicable deductible directly to Joyryde before or at the time the vehicle is repaired

Prohibited Use

The following uses are strictly prohibited and constitute a material breach of your rental agreement:

• Racing, off-roading, or any use that voids the insurance policy
• Towing or hauling beyond the vehicle's rated capacity
• Subleasing or lending the vehicle to any third party
• Commercial use other than approved rideshare and delivery platforms (Uber, Lyft, DoorDash, Amazon Flex, etc.)
• Operating the vehicle outside the continental United States without prior written approval
• Operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any impairing substance

Minimum Term & Cancellation

• All long-term rentals carry a minimum commitment of 3 months from the start date
• After the minimum term, the rental continues on a week-to-week basis
• To cancel, renter must provide 7 days written notice prior to the next Wednesday billing date
• No partial-week refunds will be issued under any circumstances
• The vehicle must be returned within 48 hours of the final billing date in the same condition as received, normal wear excepted
• Late returns may be subject to additional weekly charges

Maintenance

• Renter agrees to comply with all maintenance requests issued by Joyryde
• Renter must deliver the vehicle to Joyryde's designated service location within 48 hours of notification
• Failure to comply with maintenance requests is a material breach of this agreement and may result in suspension or termination of the rental
• Joyryde will credit renter for documented downtime caused by Joyryde-initiated maintenance exceeding 24 hours, excluding damage caused by renter

GPS Tracking & Monitoring

All Joyryde vehicles are equipped with GPS tracking devices. By renting a vehicle, you consent to continuous monitoring of the vehicle's location, mileage, and usage patterns for fleet management, mileage billing, security, and insurance purposes. This data is not shared with third parties except as required for insurance claims or legal compliance.

SMS Communications

By providing your phone number and completing a booking, you consent to receive transactional SMS messages from Joyryde including booking confirmations, payment alerts, and mileage notifications. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Reply HELP for assistance.

Electronic Signature

By typing your full legal name in the signature field during the booking process, you are executing a legally binding electronic signature under the federal Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (E-SIGN Act) and the Colorado Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA). Your typed name, IP address, and timestamp constitute a complete and enforceable signature record.

Limitation of Liability

Joyryde's liability to renter shall not exceed the total weekly rental fees paid in the 30 days preceding any claim. Joyryde is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the rental or use of the vehicle.

Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado. Any disputes arising from or relating to these terms or any rental agreement shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Denver County, Colorado. Renter waives the right to participate in any class action lawsuit against Joyryde.

Changes to These Terms

Joyryde reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
